Harder than it looks

This whole quilting thing, that is. Up until now I've only really made pieced blankets with some quilt stitches here and there. On this little lap quilt, I quilted the whole enchilada. It took me like two weeks!

More... I used my darning foot and tried to keep the stitches at the right length. Some places I did really good. Others, not as much.

An up close shot. And now I have to do the binding. I found a tutorial for perfect mitered edges online the other day and I'm intent to do it and get it right. Unfortunately, it's going to be one of those time consuming perfection-requiring things. So it will be awhile before I finish this little quilt. Stay tuned!
