Receiving blankets received

Me and Adam sent these dandies along to a baby shower in South Carolina. They were a hit at the party, which was held this afternoon.

I feel they evoke Lily Pulitzer and I guess that style is a big deal in the South. Adam was offended as I typed that and then, losing his conviction, sighed, "It's not wrong to say."

I felt pretty good about this mitered corner and the accent row around the inside edge. The other fabrics are flannel, making this perfect for a wriggly, November baby.

Adam holds another angle of same blanket as above. He is currently muttering about Arby's hot roast beef and melty (fake) cheese sandwiches and says, "Gosh, those are good. Phew."

Looks tiny with Adam holding it, but I think it's about 30 inches x 30 inches.

This is the second "super-Lily" blanket with the floral green and pink backing.

And here's the fabulous duo, which I hear the guest of honor was very happy to have.

Now I really must bind the butterfly quilt before I get sidetracked.

Keep checking in!
